Marquez Gray Employee of the Month

Congratulations Marquez Gray for joining the San Francisco Youth Commission, appointed by the Mayor!

Marquez Gray, 21, Appointed by Mayor Newsom

Please join me in congratulating LEHA RHONE-MCALLISTER as August 2007 employee of the month!

She’s been extremely focused at work and quick to take on tasks and complete them.  She’s grown so much in her time here that it would be insane to not give her this award.  Working whenever she can, and staying as productive as she can, Leha is a great example of what a Listener should be.  The calls she’s been taking, and the feedback she’s been sharing has been helpful for everyone involved in the program.  Congratulations Leha! You deserve it!

Chinatown Alleyway Tours (CAT)

The Purpose of this project, CAT, is to bring awareness to others about the issues in the Chinatown community. Specifically about SROs Single Room Occupancies housing in Chinatown, and how Chinatown is not just a tourist attraction but also an area of poverty. They want to educate others on the value in culture and history that Chinatown has. This project plans to host Chinatown Alleyway Tours and turning them into DVDs. They will distribute DVD’s to the community, schools, other youth groups, and film festivals.
